Dr. Sonya Lee, MD is recognized as a leader in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery. She was the recipient of The Award of Excellence in Laparoscopic Surgery from the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and a “Top Doc” by U.S. News and World report. She currently is the Chief of the Gynecology at PENN Presbyterian Hospital.

Dr. Lee went to medical school at the University of Michigan and completed her residency at Pennsylvania Hospital. She spent six years as the Director of Gynecology at Graduate Hospital before she was recruited to lead the division of Gynecology at PENN Presbyterian Medical Center. She is an Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine where she teaches both residents and medical students. Her expertise includes comprehensive women’s health, minimally invasive surgery, pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence.

Dr. Lee’s approach to patient care focuses on building trusting relationships, hearing pertinent concerns, and educating and empowering patients to take charge of their health. She recognizes that patients are not all the same and treatment plans have to be customized to the individual. Her patient care focus has made her a regional leader in Women’s Health.

Karen Tang, MD

Dr. Karen Tang is a well-respected leader in woman’s health. She has lectured both regionally and nationally. Dr. Tang is dedicated to preventative women’s health, including well-women care and contraception, diagnosing and treating cervical dysplasia (abnormal pap tests), adolescent medicine and menopause. She takes pride in explaining testing and treatment options in a way that is clear and easy to understand, and ensuring that every woman feels comfortable with her plan of care.

Dr. Tang trained at Columbia University and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center / Harvard Medical School, and Legacy Health System in Portland, Oregon where she did an American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) fellowship in advanced gynecologic surgery. She spent four years as director of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at the University of Miami before joining Gynecology Specialists of Philadelphia. Her areas of specialty include laparoscopic and robotic surgery, management of fibroids, irregular periods, endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain.

Dr. Tang’s priority is to work with women to provide individualized counseling and treatment, and to get patients back to enjoying their daily activities as quickly and easily as possible. LindaLinda Romano, PA-C, MSPAS

Linda Romano is a certified Physician Assistant who earned a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Philadelphia University. Linda pursued a career in gynecology because it allows her to develop relationships with her patients as she cares for them throughout their lives. She is particularly passionate about counseling and educating women so that they can make safe and personal decisions for their own healthcare. Linda manages many gynecology problems including abnormal pap tests, irregular bleeding, and pelvic pain. She also counsels patients on STIs, contraception, and family planning. Linda believes in getting to know her patients, educating them, and empowering them to make informed healthcare choices.

Kailtin Hagan is a certified Physician Assistant. She received her undergraduate degree from Penn State University and her Masters of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from University of the Sciences. Kaitlin.

As a provider, Kaitlin provides a judge-free environment where patients can speak freely about any gynecologic issues they may be experiencing. She cares for patients from adolescence through post menopause and believes in educating women about their bodies in order for them to make informed decisions regarding their treatment options.

Her expertise includes diagnosing and treating a variety of medical issues including menstrual irregularities, cervical dysplasia, incontinence, post-menopausal bleeding, pelvic pain, and sexually transmitted diseases.
