Karen Tang, MD, FACOG
Dr. Karen Tang is a well-respected leader in woman’s health. She has lectured both regionally and nationally. Dr. Tang is dedicated to preventative women’s health, including well-women care and contraception, diagnosing and treating cervical dysplasia (abnormal pap tests), adolescent medicine and menopause. She takes pride in explaining testing and treatment options in a way that is clear and easy to understand, and ensuring that every woman feels comfortable with her plan of care.
Dr. Tang trained at Columbia University and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center / Harvard Medical School, and Legacy Health System in Portland, Oregon where she did an American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) fellowship in advanced gynecologic surgery. She spent four years as director of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at the University of Miami before joining Gynecology Specialists of Philadelphia. Her areas of specialty include laparoscopic and robotic surgery, management of fibroids, irregular periods, endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain.
Dr. Tang’s priority is to work with women to provide individualized counseling and treatment, and to get patients back to enjoying their daily activities as quickly and easily as possible. Dr. Tang is also fluent in both Spanish and Madarin.
